Title: Creative Designer

Location: Hargeisa, Somaliland

Job Summary

We are looking for a talented Creative Designer to join our team. You will be designing a wide variety of things across digital and offline media. To be successful in this position, you’ll be a self-starter, capable of delivering brilliant creative ideas, and show amazing attention to detail.

Creative Designer Responsibilities:

• Conceptualizing creative ideas with clients.
• Illustrating concepts by designing examples of art arrangement, size, type size, and style and submitting them for approval.
• Creating a wide range of graphics and layouts for product illustrations, company logos, and websites.
• Design web pages, brochures, logos, signs, books, magazine covers, branding materials, annual reports, advertisements, and other communication materials.
• thinking creatively to produce new ideas and concepts and developing interactive design
• Coordinating with outside agencies, art services, web designer, marketing, printers, and colleagues as necessary.
• Contributing to team efforts by accomplishing tasks as needed.
• Communicating with clients about layout and design.
• Reviewing final layouts and suggesting improvements when necessary.

Required Qualifications, Skills, and Experience

• Portfolio of strong creative work.
• Bachelor’s degree in ICT, graphic design, or a related field.
• Demonstrated excellent command of spoken and written English.
• One to three years of professional design experience.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (XD, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator).
• Social media and digital marketing experience a plus.
• Communication skills: You must be able to confer advice and suggestions from clients, as well as understand what they want.
• Time management skills: You’ll often find that you’re juggling several projects almost simultaneously.
• Teamwork skills: you must be able to collaborate and get along with others when they work as part of a design team.
• Technical skills: A knowledge of both typography and color theory is critical.
• Up-to-date experience with international graphic design standards, and technologies.
• Creative and open to new ideas.
• Adaptable and willing to learn new techniques.
